Visual marketing has been rising for several years now, and there is no end in sight! How would your brand rank in telling its story visually?

Video Content is Skyrocketing

Everybody knows videos have been growing in popularity for about a decade. But it has been accelerated by the pandemic, which forced more of us to find new ways to connect.

A report in Wyzowl details how brands plan to increase their video marketing efforts in response to global lockdowns.

A whopping 91% of surveyed marketers think that video has become much more essential as a marketing tool.

This trend impacts all types of video content. And when it comes to reach and a strong ROI, video is king:

· 85% of consumers expect to see more video content from brands in 2021.

· Almost 90% of consumers say they were convinced to buy a product by watching a brand’s video.

· Consumers are much more likely to share video content with their friends than any other form of content.

Authentic & Ephemeral Content (Stories)

Ephemeral videos are video content that lasts online for 24 hours before disappearing. You will see these on Instagram Stories, Facebook Stories, and Snapchat Stories. You may say, why would we create a video to only last for a day?

Apart from creating a sense of urgency, this content has become especially popular due to its authenticity. Stories are less produced and give a unique glance into an influencer’s life or the brand. More than half (58%) of people surveyed by Instagram claim they became more interested in a brand after seeing it in Instagram Stories.

Visual Content that is Shoppable

“Buy what you see” is one of the most potent shopping behaviors out there. How often have you bought something after reading or hearing about it?

This trend is most noticeable in the fashion industry, where impulse shopping is an essential driving force behind purchasing decisions.

There is no end in sight. Now you can buy just about anything by pointing your camera at it. With Google Lens, you can turn just about any visual content into a shoppable product.
